Move to the market, take a stroll around the Makishi Market as we show you how to select delicious, seasonal ingredients for making sushi.

Sushi Workshop

10:00 – 11:30
Bringing back the fishes to kitchen, our chef will show you how to open, fillet the fishes into Sushi. After the master class, try your hands at preparing your very own sushi!

Tasting

11:30 – 12:30
Gather together and present your sushi, and sample your creation.


On the morning of the workshop, we will come and pick you up from the local train station (Makishi Station on Yui Rail).

On a typical day, after a brief round of introductions we will show you around to the Makishi Market. Here, we will show you how to select delicious, seasonal ingredients for making sushi (in Japanese this process is called “Mekiki”, literally meaning “judgement by eye”)

– and after this, at the expert guidance of our sushi chef you will finally get to try your hands at preparing sushi!

At the end of it all, everyone will have the chance to savor the delicious meal you’ve just prepared.

*1 : The price changes by the time of reservation. A: from 3 days to 1 day before, B: from 30 days to 4 days before, C: until 31 days before the tour.

*The Okinawa Sushi InsiderWorkshop has a minimum reservation of five people. If the number of participants reserved the day is less than five on three days before the workshop, we will decide not to hold the workshop and refund the amount. Reservation itself is always available from one person.

*Children under 9 years old can take part in our tour at a 50% discount. Please contact us if you have any child/children under 9.

*If you would like to have private tour, please inform us about it by email. Private tours are available with a reservation of six spots. Even if your group is smaller than six people, we could make the reservation private with the equivalent amount of six people.
